synapticjava: (Last Dance by me)

When I click my mouse, it actually makes a "click" noise. And when I type, my keys make a "tap tap tap" sound. When did this happen??? And my radiator makes noise. And I can hear my stereo volume on 4! Usually it's 11. And, and, my TV - I can hear it on half the volume I used to! Now, the volume I'm used to *hurts* my ears. I'm so sorry to everyone that has had to be around me. How are you all not deaf too???

For those that don't know, I'm hearing impaired. Not 100% deaf, but about half. I'm supposed to wear hearing aids, but I hate them so I haven't worn them in probably at least 3 years.

O'o The other one just started working. Yay!

LOL

I'm not special ed or anything, just mostly deaf. LOL. But yes, it is very exciting for me. I just have to get used to picking out people's voices. One of the reason I hate wearing these things is because it amplifies *EVERYTHING* so I get distracted from people's voices when they're speaking.

Ooh, excellent. Yay for hearing. ;D

I know what you mean about making everyone around you deaf too. I only have a slight impairment in my right ear, but I invariably end up with the TV or the stereo on too loud for everyone else in the house.

It's also a great excuse if you want to ignore someone though. ;)

Yeah it is.

I think I learned that trick in second grade when the teacher was a bitch ;)
