karenbear , and I think it's a pretty great idea. So here:
I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.
But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."
I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

I live just north of L.A.
I've lived in Fort Ord CA, Boise ID, Moscow ID, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo MEX, Queretaro MEX, The Bronx NY, Sleepy Hollow NY and here.
I'm 23.
I'm obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Tim Burton films, Shakira, Comic books, children's literature, and Disney movies.
The way to my heart is: Buffy, String Cheese, Grape Juice, Popcorn, Brownies, Hawaiian Punch, Breakfast in bed and taking me to the movies.
I: draw, paint, sing, write fiction, dance, play the trumpet and the french horn and watch an obsene amount movies.
I have: Dark brown hair and eyes. Im 5'11. I am of Mexican, English and Spanish descent. I look white.
I speak: English and Spanish.

...oh, and don't worry: I always vote pro-choice, because most pro-life politicians are jackasses in every other arena. I think abortion should be legal because if it isn't we're just gonna plunge back into an era of botched back-alley abortions that cause waaay more trauma and heartache and unnecessary death than a clinical procedure.
What I wish the pro-life lobby would do is concentrate on decreasing demand for abortions by increasing funding for health programs, education, making reliable birthcontrol more available, upping the quality of foster care, blah blah blah.
Anyway. That was a whole bunch of exposition no one asked for. Guess I just felt like articulating that. Huh.
