A quote, from my development book, "So it seems that children's earliest preferences for gender-typed toys and activities may well result from their parents' (particularly fathers') successful attempts to reinforce these interestes."

Fucking DUH!?

I learned that in Psych 101. Not to mention, I posess, you know, common sense.

Someone shoot me. Now, please.

*shoots you*

Kidding. :D

People get paid for saying the most ludicrously obvious things. They get thousands for coming up with surveys with answers you knew when you were 8. This may be a lucrative field to get into, hon. *g*

Yeah, I think I do remember that from a general psych class. I also remember thinking how much I love my dad for going out to play football with me, the preschool aged boys in my neighborhood, and their dads when I was 3ish - and out-stubborning the other dads on my behalf.

That might not be such a big deal now, but back in the early 70s, in the midwest? Huge. Dad also let me have a skateboard when I was 5 (even built me a ramp) and bought me Tonka trucks and Matchbox cars instead of Barbie dolls when I asked.

My dad *rocks*.
