First - anyone who has the opportunity to should definetely see this movie. Here in Chicago, both theatres that are playing it have been sold out at every showing. We need to keep supporting this - not the movie industry, but the changes that can come because of it.

Second - this is one of those movies that's bittersweet. The ending is encredibly sad, and throughout the entire thing you want to growl and curse and scream at the characters in the movie. And then you want to scream and curse and growl at society and the way things are and how slow they change. But at the exact same time, you're touched because of what's happening. You realize that these two men are helplessly and desperetely in love. So you're rooting for them and you want them to just be happy. In a nutshell - the whole movie is the viewer struggling with emotions.

I'm still kind of processing it, because it was definetely a powerful movie for me. I was looking out over the sold-out crowd, and I saw couple after couple after couple holding hands and leaning on each other and being so casual and happy. And that's what the movie's trying to do, among other things. It just really got to me. And, even though I'm trying not to include him in *this* post too, at one point, I looked over at Matt, and he was crying every bit as hard as I was.
