Interview #1

Okay, I just got a response from Food For Thought, one of the places I submitted my resume to.  The guy, Greg, says: "When would you be available to come in for a short interview?"  Keep in mind we've been emailing back and forth since Monday.  It's a Banquet Server position, of which they would expect me to work every Friday and Saturday, typically an 8-10 hour shift. 

Which sucks on the one hand, but it is nice on the other.  Say I do get the job, which I'm confidant of because of my experience and the fact they want me for an interview and I've never not gotten a job I interviewed for, and they want me to work a minimum of 20 hours per week?  Well, the pay rate, based on experience, is between $12 - $16.  If they give me 12, and I work 20 hours, that's 240 a week, 480 per paycheck, and 960 per month which would be enough to pay rent, utilities, and misc bills (I just wouldn't be able to go out much).  If they gave me 16, and I work 20 hours, that's 320 a week, 640 per check, 1280 per month (all this is without taxes, etc., I know - just humor me).  My rent is only 595, my electricity will probably be around 30/40, phone is about 50, and credit card is about 60.  So right now, without going out or putting gas in the car, or anything else, I need to make at the very minimum 800 a month to clear all my bills - without food and what not.

Well, what this means is that, theoretically speaking, if I do get this job under the conditions above, I'll be fine and have enough money to live.  Now, imagine if they wanted me to work 30 hours, or whatever.  Even at the base rate, that's still a boat load of dough for me.  And plus, depending on the hours that they (hypothetically) want me to work, I am planning on getting a *second* job mainly to save money for my post-graduation-possible-new orleans/cruise/europe fund.

So now I feel better, and I definetely look better since I've been sleeping much deeper and longer.  So now I think I'll skip back to the apartment, give myself a manicure and facial, put away some more stuff, and maybe settle in to watch a movie.  I smell some going-out pheremones tonight.  Maybe I'll call Colby finally and see if he wants to go chill somewhere.  (I didn't go out at all last night!).  And thank GOD that it's only about 78 degrees today.  Just please don't remind me that it's supposed to be like 104 in a couple days because that'll ruin my buzz.

BRAD! OMG, so i've been meaning to call you but I got sick! blast my mother, i know i got whatever I have from her!!!! But we will def need to hang out next week i shall come and visit! Im so glad to see about the job applications I hope you get the job!!! OH and this is that funny icon i was talking about, well actually its pretty damn disgusting but i thought it was funny, ok well i gotta go sleep, i have a job interview tomorrow!! woo hoo! OH and Im gonna add you to my friends on here, cause now that i don't see you EVERY day, i'll be able to know what's going on with you!
