God, everything is sooooo loud. Jesus, how can people stand it?

Yes, I found my hearing aids, and yes I'm wearing them. I'm going to see about those little beltone ones next week, I think. No promises on how long I'll wear them this time, though, because honestly I might just get frustrated and take them off in an hour.

OK, I know I have a food obsession and that cookies aren't the answer to everthing (though they should be!), but, want some cookies and milk?? To make u feel better??

I'd wondered if there were smaller ones out there, not so much about the fact that they'd be less noticeable to others but so you could feel less self conscious about wearing them. Stupid question here, do they have a vlume control or do they all just turn it up to 11?

There are smaller ones, actually, that fit inside the ear out of site, but the last I heard my insurance won't cover them. I think I'm going to try for them again, though. And yes, they have volume control, otherwise a bunch of people like me, who aren't completely deaf, would be running around clutching our heads and shreaking in pain. That's the worst part about them - they don't just increase the volume of people's voices, they increase EVERYTHING. Yesterday, downtown, I heard the trains top TWO STOPS AWAY.

Maybe it was your stint as an RA on the Loud Floor that made wearing your hearing aides not fun?

Nah, that can be attributed to 2nd through 11th grade, mostly. Heh.
