If you didn't know, the research I'm conducting is on depression among gay and bisexual men and women. And the research that I've been compiling is staggering. Gay men are three times more likely to abuse substance, seek out professional mental health, and suffer from mental health disabilities - the conclusion is that social interaction and thus, negative socialization, is warping our minds. There - there's proof.

Almost ironic - now I'm getting depressed.

Actually the whole sexual abuse thing is still a huge controversy - it became an issue back in the late 70's and early 80's, and it just keeps getting fueled. A lot of people have been sold on the idea that they could have been abused but are repressing it - implantation of false memories is a HUGE deal. Anyway, to make a long story short, it is a controversial branch of psychology :)

Yay about the scarf!!! Can't wait to see it and feel it and rub it...I mean, yay! *g*

Right. I've been aware of the controversy - at least some from the 80's and 90's. In my case I'm pretty doubtful that I'm repressing anything, but I do know the possibilities are endless.

If you and the scarf are going to get kinky, I'm not sure I'm old enough to know about that. But I will try to give you good basic washing instructions. Tongue Out 4
