Jay peered out the window at the blue-gray day. Fog had settled in the city, and he could hardly see the street from this 23rd story window. The slight tap-tap-ping of rain against the wrought iron balcony and sliding glass doors was a macabre lullaby, making the day sleepy and dreamlike.
He sighed and smiled, turning back to the bed where Mike was still sleeping, snoring softly with lips curled into a pouty sleep smile. Again that pleasant feeling of love and mine rolled through Jay; his smile deepened.
A whispered prayer of thanks as he returned to his lover.
