I wish my students felt that way about my syllabus. I think they whisper in the dark, "Oh, syllabus, I want to chain you up and set you on fire, and not in an erotic way" LOL

Hee! I don't get that - I mean the syllabus is how I *survive* my classes. Without 'em I'd be constantly late, crying and/or flailing on the ground in stark raving madness, and not in an erotic way ;)

My students don't want to read and the syllabus tells them that, yes, reading *is* a required component of an English class, *no* they can't buy their papers on the internet, and I *will* kick them out if they get on my nerves. Okay, maybe I am a little bit of a dictator, but what's wrong with that?
