Ya Know...

I realized tonight as I was taking a shower, with conditioner in my hair and soap in my eyes, that I'm a very lucky man. Here I am, living my dreams. I'm in a great school, even if it does get on my nerves every once in a while, that is going to give me a huge advantage once I get out. I've got a great group of select friends who really do care about me and who really do want me to be happy; not to mention that I love them so very much. My family, I think, is finally at that point where they too just want me to be happy. I can finally understand why they do the things they do. I've got soo much to be thankful and grateful for. And I so am. When I was back in high school going through hell and dreaming up a fabulous life, I didn't imagine this. I couldn't have asked for it to turn out any better. And I also realized that despite everything, despite all the problems I face and everything I've yet to go through, I'll be okay. Look at me now - I'm exactly where I wanted at this time in my life. There are a lot of things that aren't present, but I think that's okay too, because I'm happy with what I've got and where I'm going.
