Wound up going to my class this morning afterall, and I'm kinda glad I did. There's only three classes left and if I didn't go this morning I just would have been kicking myself for it. So in the long run, being exhausted all day will make me feel better in two weeks when I'm kramming for the final.
Turned out not to be a horrible awful day, afterall. Not necissarily a good day, but one of those in-between. I managed to go back to sleep for an hour, so I missed the shuttle which meant I drove downtown today. Traffic was so-so, but there wasn't any parking so I had to park in the garage. So there went $7 I'll never see again. But I managed to get back to Barat in time to finish Catcher in the Rye before Research Methods. And the assignment that was due for Research Methods was pushed back till Thursday, so I didn't have to get a late grade afterall - just have to remember to *do* it tomorrow at work.
Speaking of Catcher - I wasn't impressed. I like it more now that we've discussed it a little bit, but I still don't understand just why it was so great. You know - I think maybe I'm going to stick to the books I'm happy with. You know, the ones where somethign actually happens? All this American Literature...not so much for me. I'm glad I got to read it because now I know what people mean when making reference to it. Just...wasn't the best book I ever read. And I do have to admit that I liked it less when Williams pointed out its parallels with Huck Finn. *cringe*
And now, I have exactly 2 and a half hours to write a paper and email it to my psych of men proffessor. If it's recieved even one second past midnight, he won't accept it. Maybe I'll talk Kierre into going out to the bar after I get it done. But for now, paper writing. My topic: "Modern men do or do not fulfill their roles as husbands/fathers" My title: "Hunter/Gatherer or Escapist/Abandoner."
So...later, dudes.
