Believe me, in those rooms, you need that many fans. You don't have any control over the temp, and they tend to keep the heat turned up so much that you can rarely close your windows without baking. That includes when there's snow on the ground.

I do HATE that sort of thing. I like to sleep in a COLD room!
Yuck - centrally controled heat.
I get the fan-lurve now.
