try to find yourself a mental calm place to be, and stay there. :-) Let everything else just flow on by you -- you're not living there any more, you're just visiting, and you'll leave in a few days and not have to deal with it again for a bit.

The dichotomy between family being close and family being asses is always there, at least in all the families that take their turn at ass-ness.
