So tonight, I let my competitive side come out. We found the dart board in the back of Gentry - it was finally plugged in.

I wooped him good. At first, I played soft like "I am not good at these things" and then he figured out I was throwing the game. And made me actually try. I beat him by like 200 points every game after that.

And then we walked to 7-11 and bought some smokes, and I walked him home.

I'm lucky. So god damned lucky. For my friends and for everything in my life that somehow, sometimes, comes together. You know, I know I'm overdramatic and when shit hits the fan I'm the first to freak out and cry uncle. But I'm not too stupid to notice when I've been given a gift. And not only Matt, but everyone in my life - these wonderful people that I've somehow found in all the crap, all of these people are precious to me. And, cliche or not, I guess that is what this chaotic crazy season is about - recognizing what we have.
