I just found a copy of the original Interference study done by Stroop in 1935! This is like a research goldmine. I've been trying to get my hands on this for over a year! *squee*

I know I may hate the answer, but I have to ask - what is "Interference"?

Hmm...kinda tricky to explain. Basically, the premise is that how we percieve and remember things can be halted or distorted during information processing if there are other things interfering with our stimulus intake. I don't know if that makes sense.

This can probably explain it better: http://www.apa.org/science/stroop.html
