Yes, there's sometimes a good a reason we repress stuff! "Worse things happen at sea!" But have you read any of Eliade's "Season Noir"? In her latest update, there's a great line, spoken by Spike to Xander: "Sire and clan'll unman you if you let them, pet." How very true.
