help?

I'm trying to decide what internet I want to get for the apartment, and I'm all confused.

My options are DSL with SBC, or cable internet with Comcast.

Don't you need a phone line to have DSL?

Hey all, I'm probably going to be offline for the next couple days. I'm about to head down to the apartment, and tomorrow's booked with finals and Wednesday is the dance/mumbo jumbo.
