If you've been paying attention at all, you'll know that I spent a month and a half researching and writing up my research proposal on depressive symptomatology of urban and rural gay, lesbian, and bisexual people. And that it caused me more than one headache on many an occaision.

Well, Tuesday I got it back. I got an A, and the highest grade in the class.

Today I had to give a professional presentation on it, citing current research and giving my proposal.

So after everyone got done with their presentation, I jetted outside to smoke a cigarette. Came back in and Dr. Cleland broke the news: He's working on getting a research grant. Why? For me to do my study! He's putting my proposal on the fast track through the IRB and getting everything set up.

I'm going to be conduction my own research study!!!
