Kind of a preference question, but do any of the fic readers think it's cliché to use ancient egyptian references in fiction?

Weee!

Just got back from town. Took that movie back - and guess what? No late fee! *whoot*

So then I went to Walgreens since it's on the other end of the block. Got some notecards to make flashcards so I can ace my finals *g*. The guy behind the counter, who couldn't have been more than 17, was totally hitting on me. At first I wasn't sure and thought maybe there was something on my face since he was staring at me. But then I got it when he said "come back soon" wink and "have a nice smile, day! i mean day!"

Awww, *g*.

Picks me up outta my fat-day blues.

Hrm...

You know, I really should stop hating things on principle. In the end, it only makes me look foolish.

Just watched Spiderman, which I bought for five bucks the other night. I was a little skittish to watch it because I thought it would be bad. Just like I thought LoTR would be bad, and just like I thought Titanic would be bad. Point? It wasn't bad. D'oh!

One thing though, I still refuse to see Star Wars. You couldn't drag me there with nekkid men and grapefruit.
