Wow, I'm tired. But what else is new?
Today = great day. We did a huge Mardi Gras thing for Student Affairs. Hats and beads were worn, masks were made, and Polish jelly doughnut type pastries were eaten. A lot. Like, blerg. Anyway, t'was fun, and as sporadicvampire says, I look sexy in a Mardi Gras hat. Perhaps I'll post a pic sometime. 'Cept I've already taken off my hat and beadsand all my clothes. *blink* Moving on...
My egg for Counseling Theories went over big. Everyone thought it was cute and that I should die because I'm an eeevol "over-achiever", i.e. I spent more than 5 minutes and $.20 on mine. And also, I had on it a teeny AIDS ribbon, and Dr. Anderson said she's going to recomend me to a friend of hers who does a bunch of AIDS fundraisers and awareness type things. This could be really fucking awesome. I can get great experience and help tremendously in an area I'm passionate about.
Also, two of my three midterms were today. My first one, Child Psych, was the one I was freaking out the most about - wouldn't be suprised if I aced it, but I'm expecting a B- just because I was kind of skimpy with one or two of the essays (Damn you, Piaget and your rotten substages of sensorimotor development! Damn you to hell!). And my counseling theories midterm went over without a hitch. I finished two minutes before the alloted time ran out, and I was the first person to finish. Everyone else wound up needing an extra *HOUR*. And it took me about an hour and 45 minutes. It wasn't hard, just very involved. Guess that's what happens when you go into an open-book test without, oh, say, A BOOK? Dumbasses.
AAAAAnd, we got our Research Methods manuscripts back today. Eep! I misinterpreted the data, misrepresented specific variables and, no, of course I most certainly did *not* mispell my own name. *flogs self*. But, the cool thing is that he covered the thing in ink so now I just need to revise and finish some thoughts, put in a couple captions and an appendix, and I'm golden. So *whew*. So now all I have left is my midterm for that class and this horrible angsty midtermy week will be OVER.
And I got my class list for next quarter ready for registration tomorrow. And I'm happy to report that next quarter will recognize the END OF MY GEN ED REQUIREMENTS! Which means next year all I will have left is my experiential, seminar, and one more Psychology class and then the rest will be electives. WHOOT! You have no idea how happy that makes me. That means that the last three years of dog-hard work will be worth it when I can graduate without having a complete and total nervous MELTDOWN. So yippee! My classes next quarter are only two days a week, on tues and thurs. Taking Psychology of Men at LPC, Research Methods, The American Novel, and also Substance Abuse. yay!
And now to work on the sooper seekrit project, Kin to Sorrow, Sunlight and maybe something special. (maybe)
