Okey, so today they voted in favor of closing Barat. My school. My home. And its very sad. But, for some reason I'm not so sad. I don't know what it is, but I feel kind of out of the loop. Today a lot of people were crying (like seriously bawling), and yet I feel nothing. I think there's something wrong with me. I've stopped feeling bad things. Well, not all bad things, but most.
Also, today, I got the rest of my grades. Right now I'm passing everything with above B-s!!! I'm currently getting an A-, two B+'s and a B. Whoohoo!!! That'll superboost my GPA, thank god. And I'm confident that I can pull the Bs up to As if I really really try hard, what with the reading and the studying and everything. I may climb my way back up to the Dean's List yet.
Oh oh and Oh! My mummy is taking my taxes with her to the book-keeper on Friday, and they're going to do that rapid-refund thing with the direct deposit, which means that I'll have my income tax return Friday or Monday at the latest!!! This is really good news, considering that this year my income was below the poverty line. Which means I get to keep all my money and I get almost all of it back! AND my mom is going to deduct all the money I spent on school last year, and give me that much out of her return! That's three friggen thousand dollars! (roughly). You have no idea how happy this makes me. That means that I can pay off my credit card bill with plenty left over to put half of it in savings (never to be touched), get my car fixed, and buy a few things I've been wanting (just a couple, not gonna go crazy). I'm so happy. But I'm listening to depressing music...Go figure.
And, on The(not so)Bad Thing front, things have gotten a little...odd. I don't really know how to explain it. So I won't. Look for further updates. Especially those who know what the The(not so)Bad Thing is. Wait, when did my life turn into a soap? Oh yeah...almost 20 years ago. HOLY SHIT! 20 YEARS! JESUS FUCK!!! You all better buy me pretty things. Start saving now :P Last year was the first good birthday I had, let's make it a tradition, shall we? Yes, let's.
Oh, and the Valentine's Day Horror Move Marathon will consist of Identity, My Bloody Valentine, Cabin Fever, and a really bad B-movie which will be a suprise. It will start promptly at 5. I have not yet decided whether it will be taking place in my room (probably) or in the Dougherty Lounge. It depends on how many non-Dougherty residents will be attending. So RSVP now bitches. Also, bring money for pizza if you want it. I'll supply the crackhearts and soda and popcorn. And bring anything else you want (no alcohol please, I'm on duty.)
