Here's the email I just sent several big media affiliates:
I am writing on behalf of all the students and faculty of the Barat Campus of DePaul University in Lake Forest, Illinois. Because of certain factors, DePaul University is voting next month to close down our campus. We are trying to get as much attention as possible to make sure that this does not happen. The Barat campus is a small one, housing only 240 residents and has only 1,000 students attending. The smaller size of the school is the reason so many of us have chosen to come here; and it has become our home. However, it may be taken away from us. We need as much help as possible, and we need exposure to do this. I implore you to please consider helping, by putting us on the air or giving us some kind of media and letting us show people the community that would be destroyed if we are closed. We are a close-knit family here at Barat, one you don't find in very many schools. Please help.
