Tested

Man, getting tested is nerve-wracking. Results will be back a week from Thursday, so until then, I wait. I really don't think I have anything to worry about *knock wood* but you can never be 100% sure. And it's especially effectual for me because I've gotten to know quite a few positive people, most of whom have all said "I thought it was safe."

On another note, I can't tell you how wierd it is that I'm proud that our neighborhood bathhouse sponsors free HIV/STD testing.

Sounds like something worth being proud of to me, but I guess I could see the "weird" in that.

I went for testing five or six years ago, mainly on principle, told someone I would if he did, after umpteen years of accidental monogamy, and it was still weird and nervwracking and stressful - same as you're saying.

How long do you have to wait for results?

*hugs*

Sending you lots of negative thoughts! :-)

I wish you all the best- I've been tested twice and swung wildly between "I've definitely got it!" and "I definitely haven't got it!" for the entire waiting period.

And, yeah, proud makes sense.
