Did the video store give you a day/date by when you'd hear? If that's passed, you're fully reasonable to call and politely ask if you did not get the job. Normally, unfortionately, not hearing means bad news I think. For me it has. :-(

If it's just been a few days and they didn't tell you when to expect to hear, weigh your options. You can call anonomously and ask if the position that was open has been filled yet. You can ID yourself and ask for more info.

Either way, it doesn't hurt to keep applying to other places. And check your campus while you're there, maybe someone there would hire you for something. :-)
