Yep, good luck and stonering is right, be crictical and make sure anythin wrong is clear UP front...One tip a friend of mine once told me...look at the cars parked in the neighborhood, you'll get a quick, good idea of what it's like in the area...Granted, it's probably a college neighborhood, I assume, so there may lots of crap cars! LOL.
Also, keep track of the landlord...once when I was in college, we reserved the place in May for September. When we came back from summer break, our landlord had SOLD the place and we ended up with a slumlord who ended up throwing up walls in the dining room and living room, turning it from a nice airy 3 bedroom flat to a very cramped 6 bedroom hovel when we left so he could rent to more people. SO, here's hoping your experience is BETTER than that!
