I can almost hear the clip-clip-clip of the 'projector' as a "mostly-taken-for-granted" life flickers and flashes before ones' eyes. Life can really be that way. If you bother to look back at all sometimes you can only see bits, pieces and snippets, some of it is simply gone, all looked at with biased eyes. Surprising things, sometimes seemingly unimportant things, stick with you and you wish you could forget or change them. Other parts won't come back no matter how hard you try.
